Born in Agona Swedru (Central region), and raised in Aiyinase in the Western Region of Ghana, Mr. Zigfred Acquah began his basic education at Aiyinase Anglican Primary School. Fast-forward, he went ahead to complete his Junior High School at the Adventist Preparatory School.
Unfortunately for Mr. Zigfred, he lost his parent at a very young age. However, that didn’t deter him from achieving his dreams. He received the Hess-GNPC Scholarship which facilitated his pursuit of secondary education at the Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School. At SHS, he was part of the school’s Science and Maths Quiz Team, and doubled up as their organizer. Again, he contested for the position of the School Prefect however futile, an experience he noted as formative in shaping his resilience and leadership growth.
Upon completion of senior high school in 2018, Mr. Zigfred Acquah worked as a teacher at Kingdom Preparatory School in Aiyinase for awhile, where he taught Mathematics and Religious & Moral Education. During his days at the school, he was a Form Master and Sports Master as well.
Mr. Zigfred Acquah earned the GNPC Foundation Scholarship to study Industrial Chemistry at the University of Cape Coast in 2019. At UCC, he was elected as the Vice President of the Industrial Chemistry Students Association of Ghana and later became the Local President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) at UCC. From there, he went on to serve as the Congress Coordinator during the 54th Annual Delegates Congress of NUGS at the national level. Mr. Zigfred Acquah graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry.
After his undergraduate studies, Mr Zigfred Acquah completed his national service at the University of Cape Coast Hospital, where he worked as a Pharmacy Assistant. In the year 2024 and 2025, he served as an Assistant Operations Manager at Maa Regi Bakery Catering and More Limited, gaining experience in operations management and organizational coordination.
In 2025, Mr. Zigfred Acquah enrolled in a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Economics at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Mr. Zigfred Acquah’s academic interests focus on upstream, middlestream and downstream petroleum economics, energy markets, and resource governance.As a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Zigfred has been involved in youth and grassroots political mobilization. He constantly partake in conferences and leadership engagements aimed at youth empowerment and governance discussions. Fast-forward in 2026, he has been an active member of the NDC national communication team.
