NPP flagbearer aspirant Ken Agyapong has called on Christian leaders to “be bold” in helping direct who should lead Ghana. Moreover, he urged the church to partner with politicians on development. Hon. Ken Agyapong made this statements at Eternal Life Church inauguration in Accra on November 2, 2025.
According to Ken Agyapong, the Church has the moral credibility to influence national direction and should not hesitate to guide citizens about who should lead the country. Also, he framed “clergy–politics” collaboration as a practical route to rebuild public trust, promote integrity, and expand opportunities for the youth.
An excerpt from his statements reads: “The situation we are in now requires that the Church should be bold to come out and take directions on who should be the leader of this country. We politicians have lied to the citizens of this country so many times that they have lost trust in us. But when men of God speak to them, they believe. That is why the Church must do more to help this country.”
Ken Agyapong Urged Churches To Create Jobs
Also, beyond moral direction, Mr. Agyapong appealed to the church for concrete economic action. He encouraged churches in Ghana to invest part of their resources in ventures that create employment for members. According to him, “livelihoods and community” upliftments are part of the church’s social responsibility.
Ken said: “The Church should invest part of its monies in creating jobs for its members, noting that sustainable national development required a shared sense of responsibility among all sectors”.
The remarks came as Mr. Agyapong continues nationwide engagements tied to his intention to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections. To him, his core principles are tied with honesty, hard work, industrial growth, and public-private-faith collaboration.
