What Actually Happened – Kennedy Agyapong’s Team Plea
GhanaView News has reported earlier that, there has been allegations by Abronye and Chairman Wontumi that the NPP primaries results will be manipulated, and the scheduled date was meant to favor one aspirant respectively.
In a press statement signed by campaign spokesperson Kwasi Kwarteng, Esq., Team Ken alleged that the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (aka “Wontumi”), and the Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe (aka “Abronye DC”), were captured on social media claiming or implying that the NPP’s electoral register and process were being manipulated in favor of a particular candidate ahead of the January 2026 presidential primaries.
The statement termed these utterances as “a grave violation” of the NPP constitution. Moreover, Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team warned that silence or mere disavowal would not suffice. Therefore, the camp called for immediate summoning of the two chairmen before the party’s disciplinary structures by the NEC and the National Council of the NPP.
In a closing remarks to their supporters, they highlighted in a statement that: “Team Ken remains resolute in its commitment to a transparent, free, and fair electoral process,” also assuring that it has “put in place a robust anti-rigging architecture to safeguard the sanctity and integrity of the upcoming NPP primaries.”
