A reputable public institution is seeking to recruit a highly qualified, experienced, and results-oriented professional for the position of Director, Finance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the formulation of financial policies and strategies
- Leading the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of financial programmes and activities
- Ensuring efficient management of financial, human, and material resources
- Mobilizing financial resources to support operational and strategic goals
- Overseeing the preparation and timely submission of budgets and financial reports
- Ensuring accurate analysis, interpretation, and reporting of financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with financial laws, regulations, fiscal policies, and IPSAS standards
- Supervising the receipt, custody, and disbursement of funds in accordance with approved procedures
- Advising Management on financial governance, risk management, and compliance matters
- Strengthening internal financial controls and ensuring implementation of audit recommendations
- Overseeing performance management systems within the Directorate
- Maintaining effective collaboration with Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and other stakeholders on financial matters
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Chartered Member of a recognised professional body such as ICAG, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA
- Minimum of ten (10) years relevant post-bachelor’s work experience
- At least five (5) years in a senior management role
- Strong knowledge of public financial management systems and regulatory frameworks

- Excellent analytical and financial reporting abilities
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, auditing, and financial controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in financial and ICT applications
- Good understanding of labour laws and public sector administration
Age Limit
